2019: Group to Organize 5 Million Youths for Atiku’s Campaign
By Alex Uangbaoje, Kaduna
A group, National Youth Campaign for Atiku, has hinted that they are ready to mobilise 5 million youths to assemble on Abuja for former Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s campaign as soon as he declares his ambition to run for 2019 presidential election.
The group National Coordinator, Adegboyega Adeleke, disclosed this in Kaduna on Saturday, at the unveiling of “#Unstoppable
Atiku 2019″.
According to Aregboyega, “We have, as a team concluded arrangements to mobilize 5 million March of Nigerian youths for Atiku from various strata of the Nigerian society. Our members in the diaspora are also mobilizing to participate in this 5 million march in solidarity for Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
“Must we allow Nigeria to be driven on autopilot while we have elected leaders, and a government in place? The answer is a resounding NO.
“We as youths are strongly expressing our disenchantment with the style of governance by the present administration and this has formed our collective decision to stand behind this great and illustrious son and a committed Nigerian who is fixated on delivering genuine and sustainable democratic dividends that will reposition our great country, Nigeria.
“The major goal for the establishment of this team is to build an army of people that believe in the ability, loyalty and faithfulness of His Excellency Atiku Abubakar. The primary assignment before all the armies #Unstoppable Atiku 2019 Team is to continuously propagate the man “ATIKU ABUBAKAR” to the whole country.
“The reason behind this is not political, but it is also an attempt to salvage our
dear country from the present economic mess under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari.”
He expressed disappointment over the the way current government is handling the country, adding, “in 2015, the talk was about insurgency and corruption and that is why President Buhari, gained the affection of the majority, but today, it is about recession, unemployment, poverty hunger, Fulani herdsmen and other epileptic situations that surround our economy as a country.
“I will like to reiterate that our vision is a sustainable democracy in its true colours for all Nigerians; a place where rule of law, transparency and service to all will be provided. A country where youths, will be provided with employment opportunities. Nigerian
are very illustrious, very productive and certainly, not lazy despite the unsavoury insinuations.
“All they require is the right environment to showcase their collective and individual talents. As a team, our objective is to raise a formidable political structure for, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, and help push him forward in his presidential race come 2019.
“You will agree with me that for a
country like Nigeria to be financially stable, then it has to be in the hands of the right person. Our duty as an agile citizen is to ensure that we empower
someone that is ready to transform the Nigerian economy and bring about prosperity to all. It is a duty we owe our country and our generations.”
