Chikun/Kajuru Stakeholders Lauds Hon. Barde for Quality Representation
.…as he empowers 60 in ICT

Stakeholders from Kajuru/Chikun Federal constituency in Kaduna State on Friday showered encomium on Hon. Yakubu Umar Barde, their representative in the National Assembly for the quality representation of his constituency.
Honourable Nuhu Dogo who has served the state in various political capacities stated this at the empowerment program of 60 youths from Chikun local government area with Information Communication Technology (ICT) skills sponsored by the representative member.
The benefiting youths carefully selected from various sectors were trained in desktop publishing and website design also went home at the end of the training with a brand new computers.
According to Hon. Dogo to the sponsor of the empowerment program, “we have watched your performance over the years and we are proud with your representation at the National Assembly, continue the good work” he admonished.
Others who also commended the gesture of the Hon. Barde are the State House of Assembly member representing Kajuru constituency Hon. Uba Samuel Tanko, Chikun local government Chairmanship aspirant Salasi Nuhu Musa and Comrade Danjuma Sarki all of whom express satisfaction with the members performance.
Speaking on the project, the sponsor, Hon. Barde who is also the minority whip of the Federal House of Representative said, he felt giving knowledge will be a better source of empowerment rather than distributing motorcycles which he said most times become a liability on the beneficiaries.
“This is a generational empowerment, because with the knowledge you will acquire during this training and personal computer at your disposal, you can also become employer of labour and be self reliant.
“The world which is a global village has now gone digital, so you are being empowered to equally empower others at your own levels, so put in your best during the training and please don’t sell the computers” he urged the beneficiaries.
“We have selected the beneficiaries from Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Jamatu Nasir Islam (JNI), Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), All Progressive Congress (APC) among others”.
He emphasised that once you are at any position of leadership, it is expected of you to treat all equally, fairly and justly regardless of political, religious, tribal or ethnic affiliation.
”My effort is to make the people of my constituency ICT compliant particularly those within the youth age bracket, just like I have embarked on several other projects that will benefit. The people of my constituency.” He said.
