Schools Sports: Kingdom Heritage, Goni-gora Leads the Way in Kaduna

Following the Federal Ministry Ministry of Education resolve at ensuring sports activities are organised in schools in line with National Policy on Education, Kingdom Heritage Model School, Goni-gora, Kaduna, on Saturday held its second annual Inter House Sports Competition.
Declaring the games open, Head Teacher of the school, Mr. Adebayo Oniemola, said sports is an essential part of the school curricular activities.
He noted that it is only when participating in sports people especially Nigerians, speak with one voice and in the same way irrespective of their differences and whatever challenges they are facing.
He commended parents for coming out enmass in support of their children and wards as they participate in the competition, adding, “your presence here today has assured us that you are interested in the all round development of your children and wards.
“I have no doubt that your children will be at their best knowing that you are cheering them up.
“I believe that you will forget your troubles and your individual differences as you watch your children break a myth by their wonderful performance in this sporting event.”
The students participated in about twenty eight different athletic events to compete for medals.
