El-rufai Commissions Kaduna ICT Centre
…..says it would create jobs
Governor Ahmed Nasir el-Rufai of Kaduna State has commissioned a state-of-the-art Information Communication Technology (ICT) Centre in Kaduna, which is expected to create thousands of jobs for youth of the state.
The governor assured that the centre would be used judiciously to train young Nigerians in the all important ICT sector.
El-Rufai praised the donors of the structure, Zenith Bank, for the gesture, vowing that his administration will not relent in creating an enabled environment, needed for youth to develop their God given potentials.
While inspecting the facility, the Director General of NITDA, Dr. Isa Patami said that he was highly impressed with the quality of work and the facility put in place.
“I am impressed with what I am seeing here. If the facility is put into full use, it would not only create jobs for the youth, but would also reduce the problem of looking for solutions to our problems abroad,” he said.
“For the CEO KAD ICT Hub, Engr. Yusuf Bashir, the hub comes in as a very important avenue for young Nigerians to express their creativity which will then spur innovation.”
He said stressed that the centre will not only create jobs, but make youth in Nigeria, especially those in Kaduna bosses of their own as they become self reliant.
“By so doing, they also become employers of labour and that is the multiplying effect we are looking forward to,” he added.
