ACF Describes Attack On kaduna NUJ, as Barbaric, Undemocratic
The apex northern socio-cultural group, Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has described as barbaric and undemocratic recent attack on journalists and politicians during a press conference at the Secretariat of the Nigeria Union of journalists (NUJ) Kaduna Council.
ACF in her message as delivered by the National publicity secretary of the forum Alhaji Muhammad Ibrahim Biu when he led members of the forum to commiserate with the council over the unfortunate incident further described the attack as the height of irresponsibilty by the perpetrators and their sponsors.
He noted that without the media, no organization will be heared and it’s activities may equally go unnoticed, hence the attack he said is a reflection of some of the happenings in the society.
“we are here under the instructions of the leadership of ACF to commiserate with you on the recent attack on some of your members and politicians who were here to address you.
” the attack is barbaric and undemocratic and stand condemned, the sponsors of the attack don’t mean well for the country. The sponsors and attackers need to be fished out and prosecuted.
” do not allow the attack to dampen your spirit but spur you do more in information dissemination to the public on happenings in the society.
“kindly accept our sympathy and may God give you the strength to continue to do your work irrespective of the intimidation and harassment” he prayed.
The council chairman Adamu Yusuf appreciated the solidarity visit and further described the attack as unfortunate.
