Elections: Jonathan Has Performed Credibly Well For Re-election- Dame Patience

The first lady and Wife of President Goodluck Jonathan, Dame Patience Jonathan told Nigerians and women in particular that her husband who is seeking re-election has performed creditably well to guarantee him victory in the Presidential polls.

Mrs Jonathan represented by the wife of the vice President, Hajiya Amina Namadi Sambo stated this yesterday in Kaduna during the Presidential rally for the re-election bid of President Jonathan which held at the township stadium which was filled to capacity by women from across the state.

She stressed that President Jonathan has given women priority in all sectors and have continued to accord them their rightful places even in federal appointments.

The first lady also reiterated that President Jonathan’s administration has provided various empowerment to the women across the country, stressing that it was time for the women to reciprocate such gesture by voting him and all the candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the forthcoming elections.

“Women, as the mother of the nation, please come out en-mass and vote for President Jonathan for continuity and consolidation, I urge you to also vote for Governor Mukhtar Ramalan Yero and all the other PDP candidates.

“He has placed us in our rightful positions and has promised to do more, so, I appeal to you to collect your Permanent Voters Card (PVCs) and vote for the PDP all through the elections.”

Earlier in his address, Kaduna State governor Mukhtar Ramalan Yero told the gathering that only the PDP will take Nigeria to the promised land, stressing that Kaduna state has always been a PDP state and will continue to be.

He disclosed that about 40 percent women in the state will be benefiting in the SMEDAN project which is soon to be launched in the state.

He therefore encouraged the women to come out and cast their votes on the various dates without any form of intimidation or molestations for the PDP, “come out and do justice and vote for President Jonathan come March 28th, 2015” he added.

In her welcome address, Kaduna State Governors wife Hajiya Fatima Ramalan Yero told the Presidents wife that Kaduna state women are adequately sensitize and are ready to vote for the PDP all through in the elections.
