A Northern Youth group under the auspices of APC National Youth Vanguard have sound a note of warning to those pushing for a possible Interim Government in Nigeria, and asked them to desist from such call. Even as they described the postponement of the general elections as a blessing in disguise.
Addressing a press Conference In Kaduna, on Monday, National Coordinator of the group, Comrade Jubrillu Gadzama, warned that politicians should tread with caution and should not for the sake of their ambition push this country to a situation of anarchy.
“Nigeria is greater than anybody’s ambition and therefore, nobody should engaged in any action or inaction that would throw the country into a state of confusion. In fact, Nigerians are ready for the upcoming election, even before the postponement, and with the shift in the date, I want to believe Nigerians are more prepared and ready for the polls, why would some people be nursing an odious plan that could lead to a possible interim government, when they realised their defeat is almost sure,” he queried.
“Initially, we were worried about the shift in the polls date, but now we’ve realised the shift is like a blessing in disguise that has giving us the opportunity to garner more support for General Muhammadu, the APC presidential candidate.
Also speaking at the press briefing, Publicity Secretary of the group, Gideon Gadjere, who said their support for the former army general Muhammadu Buhari remained intact. Stressing that this is because only Buhari can guarantee the nation good leadership, tackle lawlessness and insecurity among many plight that have stunted the nations growth and development.
On her part, Hafsat Abdulhameed a member of the youth Vanguard who described General Muhammadu Buhari (Rtd) as an upright man who is determined to rescue this country from fraudulent leaders who have milked this country dry.
She said “Buhari remains the right man for the job who have the ability and the will to move this nation out of the present quagmire. I therefore, call on Nigerians to cast their ballots for Buhari, because he is the man for the job.
